Great London Yarn Crawl 2019

Great London Yarn Crawl 2019

8/29/19

We're delighted to be a stop on Yarn in the City's new format yarn crawl for 2019. Lots has changed this year at Slipstitch so we'd love to see you and for you to see what we're all about!

Extended Hours

In addition to our usual Tuesday - Saturday, 10 - 5 hours, we'll be open on Sunday 1st, Monday 2nd and Sunday 8th from 11 - 4 so you can take advantage of all 8 days of the Yarn Crawl to swing by.

Finding Us

We're at 108 Alexandra Park Road. Your nearest tube is Bounds Green and we're a walk through the park from Alexandra Palace train station. The 102 and 299 buses stop right outside and the 184 stops just round the corner. Don't be confused if you arrive and the shopfront says Fringe OR a man is up a ladder painting the shopfront - that's still us!

Classes

During that Thursday late, we've got the multi-talented Zoe Bateman of Too Cute to Quit teaching Punch Needle for Beginners and Yarn Crawlers get £5 off their ticket - just pop us an email! This craft is all over social media and we can't wait to get involved!

Special Offers

Flash your passport at the till and get 10% off all yarn and 5% off everything in else in store. Plus, take a look in your bag and you might just find a few freebies! We're also running a bit of a sale so grab yourself a few bargains - including Rowan and Debbie Bliss pattern books and some Erika Knight yarn - while you're here.

Pop-Ups

We couldn't be more excited to welcome The Little Grey Girl's amazing project bags to our shelves. Owner Rosie's many WIPs are stored in some of Gem's gorgeous and capacious bags and they're as beautiful as they are practical. Your project deserves to be stashed in one of these and any old plastic bag (Rosie also guilty of this!)

You would not be believe how excited we were to unpack Carrie's gorgeous Peak District Yarns. They are flying out the door so hop to it if you want to grab some of her beautiful hand-dyed sock yarns, shawl patterns and squishy merino.

In addition, lovely friend of the shop Aimee of Woodle Books has brought us some more of her gorgeous, feminist notebooks that she hand binds herself just a stone's throw from the shop! Want to learn how to do it yourself? Aimee's teaching Beginners' Bookbinding on September 12th
