Socks are not only portable, practical and cosy but they're versatile too. If you've come to a previous course with me, you've knitted a top down sock - this time, we're starting at the toe and working up!
You'll learn how to cast on across two needles for a seamless toe, how to knit magic loop, German short rows heels and a super stretchy cast off and finish the course with a complete sock and all the skills to make its pair.
Participants should be confident in basic skills - knitting, purling and casting on. There is some homework required between sessions. If you have any questions about the course requriements, please ask and I'll get you sorted!

Spring 2026 Course
- Week One Saturday 2nd May 14:15 till 16:45 getting started with toe-up cast on
- Week Two Saturday 9th May 14:15 till 16:45 short row heels
- Week Three Saturday 16th May 14:15 till 16:45 cuffs and finishing
Needles are provided but you will need to bring 100g of DK sock yarn. Please note: most yarn labelled just "sock yarn" is 4ply and too thin for the pattern we use. I will bring some for purchase on the day.
