Conjure up the idea of a classic knitted garment and it's likely you'll picture a pattern that uses stranded knitting, often called Fair Isle. These beautiful multicoloured designs are seen from classic Make Do And Mend designs, as they could use leftover wool, to Sarah Lund's jumper in The Killing.
Join us for an afternoon of two-colour knitting as we decipher charts, catch floats and hold our yarn in both hands!
This is a class for confident knitters and requires some preparation. You should be able to confidently cast on, knit, purl, and knit in the round (or willing to learn that last one!)
You will need:
- 4mm 40cm circular knitting needle
- 2 contrasting colours of double knitting weight wool (approx. 75g of main, 25g of contrast colour)
